Products description
An AIR COM installation always consists of an AIR COM main unit and, depending on the type of aircraft, one or more AIR Control Displays. The AIR COM main unit is installed either on the AIR Control Display directly behind the instrument panel or as a second block at a suitable location in the aircraft.
State-of-the-art technology
AIR COM features state-of-the-art technology. It is by far the smallest and lightest device in its class. The built-in equaliser makes it possible for the first time to influence and improve the intelligibility of radio communications by adjusting the sound output. The fully digital design enables extensive functions, such as intercom, mixing of audio signals or adjustment of sound output and input. Simultaneous listening to two frequencies (‘dual watch’) is also possible.
Compatibility
AIR COM can be easily installed in existing radio installations from common manufacturers using optional adapter plugs, without having to change the cabling or antenna. AIR COM has an open interface to third-party devices, e.g. navigation systems, through which the radio can be controlled directly.
Installation
Together with the AIR Control Display, AIR COM is only 141 mm long and can therefore be installed in a particularly space-saving manner. The Control Display and AIR COM can be installed either together as a single unit or separately in two blocks. The flexible family concept also allows for subsequent expansion.
Please note: The AIR Control Display is NOT included with the AIR COM main unit and must be ordered separately.
Highlights
(some of the following functions require an AIR CONTROL DISPLAY or a VT transponder)
